Creative Process
Pinterest was my best friend during the research phase. It helped me gather leads, explore different visual directions, and narrow down exactly what I wanted the magazine to feel like. From layout styles to typography and imagery, it was essential in shaping the aesthetic foundation of the project.
Naturally, I explored many different variations - especially for the cover and contents page.
When it came to the actual content inside the magazine, I began by narrowing down my personal topics of interest. I intentionally left the pages blank at first, allowing space to later develop a unique layout and style for each one, based on the theme and mood of the images and content they featured.
After many late nights spent tweaking colors and fonts, I finally landed on a style I was happy with - and got the hang of Adobe InDesign in the process.
Now, the final step is bringing it to life in print.
Early Research Vibes
At the beginning of the project, I spent time working from cafés, flipping through issues of ELLE and other magazines for layout and print inspiration. This helped me understand how professional publications structure content and style.
